An independent UX case study on moment based clip sharing for Netflix designed in 2023, submitted to Netflix, and later implemented as their own "Moments" feature.
Users had no way to share specific scenes on Netflix. Sending timestamps was clunky, recipients rarely reached the exact moment, and the platform offered no native clip based sharing a clear gap in a short-form driven world.
A Moment Sharing feature letting users clip, caption, and instantly share specific scenes via link or social with deep linking back to the exact playback point inside Netflix.
Sharing that is instant, expressive, and proven by Netflix itself.
